From Ricardo to you all..

Estaré de vacaciones desde el próximo día 16 de Diciembre hasta el 17 de Enero, fecha en la que me reincorporo. Les deseo una felicísima Navidad y un muy próspero año nuevo, agradeciéndoles mucho la paciencia y amabilidad demostrada. El correo y los periódicos seguirán funcionando como siempre gracias a la ayuda de Virginia y Agustín. Maribel, la enfermera, recogerá las medicinas. Podéis apuntaros para cita médica con Antonio Lara arriba en su consulta. Muchísimas gracias por todo.

I will be on holidays from the 16^th  December until the 17^th  January. I wish you a merry Christmas and a very happy and joyful New Year, and I would really like to thank you all for your patience and good will towards us the staff. Post will be collected by Virginia as well as the papers, with the help of Agustín. Maribel, the nurse, will collect the medicines when needed; you can book an appointment with the doctor, Antonio Lara, at his room at the clinic. Thank you very much to all.

Tips for the staff / Propinas para el personal

All of those who are resident at Sol Andalusí will know that Albert Isaac used to make a collection at Christmas for the staff.  Lise Andersen (pictured above) would like you to know that she is making the collection this year.  Some people say that they would rather give a tip to individuals themselves but it should be remembered that this can mean that the less visible members of staff get forgotten.  Lise is in the bar area for coffee every week day and invites you to make a contribution.

año . Algunos  personas  dicen  que  prefieren dar  una  propina  individual , pero

hay  que  recordar, que  esto  puede  significar , que  los  miembros  menos  visib-

les  del  personal  se quedan  olvidados . Lise  se  encuentra  en  la  zona  del  bar  pa-

ra  tomar  un  café  todos  los  dias  de  la  semana   y  les  invita  a  hacer  una  contri-

bución.

Mi primera pelicula - My first film

Aqui, por fin, mi pelicula...

El castillo hinchable en la plaza puede ser molesto para algunos pero más peor cuando los niños estan gritando hasta medianoche. El restaurante de Sol Andalusi tiene que tener algún atractivo para las familias, y tampoco espera causar tanto ruido como la Feria de Málaga. 

Sagesa ha enviado una carta de queja de la comunidad por el asunto a Sol Andalusi pero está todavía sin respuesta.

La pelicula es muy corta, pues, no cierra los ojos.  La pelicula habia hecho en el 9 octubre y la misma cosa ocurrío la semana siguiente. Pero el sabado pasado habia un evento en el teatro y con las puertas cerradas (porque hacia frio) el ruido quedó dentro. Todo bien. 

Y con el tema de peliculas, sentimos los problemas con la television en Giralda que últimos días no ha dado el señal y seguirá así algún día más. Ya están los técnicos avisados, y a la espera de reparación, igual que alarma de incendios. Hemos liquidado pagos pendientes así que ya no tienen razón para no venir.

Here is the film I promised...

A bouncy castle located in our central plaza during the day is awful but now we have had to put up with screaming children until midnight.  Sol Andalusí need to attract people to their restaurant, but being in our square some nights is like being at Málaga fair.  On occasion there have been: live music blaring out from the bar, large parties in the salon on the ground floor of Alcazaba and a wedding in the Theatre simultaneously.  

Sagesa wrote a letter on behalf of the community to complain to the management about the noise but have not received a reply.

This is only a very short movie, so don't blink or you'll miss it.  This was filmed on 9th October and the same thing occurred the following week. But last Saturday there was a dinner in the Theatre and as it was cold and the doors were closed the sound was contained and I have no problem with that.

Talking about films, I am sorry to learn that there is no Spanish TV in Giralda.  We have now settled the account with the repair people and Ricardo is making an appointment and the same goes for the smoke alarm people.  They wouldn't come as the bills had not been paid, but we had just enough to pay up.

Lamento no haber podido actualizar el blog los ultimos días. Estamos celebrando varias reuniones de comunidad de cuales os mantendré informado una vez resumido todo. He estado muy ocupada e incluso he estado fuera algunos días. Le adjunto el link para el horario del bus local con la parada cerca de campo de futbol, el que va al pueblo, aeropuerto y Malaga, llega muy punctual, algunas veces incluso unos minutos antes.

So sorry not to have added anything to the blog for a while.  We are in the process of having several community meetings and I will inform you once we have some results.  So I have been busy, also I had to go away for a few days.  I thought it might be useful  to have a link the timetable for the local bus which stops on the road at the bottom of Sol Andalusi (near the football field).  It goes the village, the airport and Malaga.  I have been told it is punctual, sometimes even early!
