FOR THE URGENT ATTENTION OF OWNERS IN THE CENTRAL BUILDING ONLY

After a careful analysis of various quotations, we believe that Tallante, a company based in Torremolinos, has made us the best offer (enclosed).

The offers that we had were within a similar price range, so the final decision was based on trust in a company that is already consolidated and experienced in the electric installations area, has a good reputation and, most importantly, directly linked to Endesa (they are the authorized installers for Endesa in Torremolinos) which will be beneficial in our future task of installing independent private meters for every property in the central building. Besides, they also offer us the possibility of financing the works at 1 year with no interest only 1% opening fee. Also they can install a digital meter for €80 in your electric box so you can easily monitor electric consumption.

For reasons of economies of scale, practicality and aesthetically, we should all install the same units in our properties; it will be cheaper, more straightforward to organize and maintain, and it will more aesthetically pleasing to have identical compressors on the balconies.  It will also discourage owners from complaining about the noise from their neighbours’ compressors if they are all the same.

The quotations that we have are for what we consider “standard” properties, which need 6 meters of pipe. Properties requiring more than 6 meters of pipe will be charged 10€ more per meter.

As we can’t guarantee the hot water supply in the Central building  after the 30^thof September so we strongly recommend owners to have at least their electric boilers installed by that date.

You should also be aware that the cessation of the hot water supply also means that there will be no central heating, as the system works with hot water.

Any owner who wants to use Tallante, the company that we recommend, can rely on support from the Community Office but must ask for it via e-mail to comunidad.solandalusi@gmail.com BEFORE 10^th September.

For logistic and practical reasons, the Community won’t help anyone who decides to contract with a company other than Tallante. If you do, you must:

·       bear in mind that the Community Board will only authorize the installation of ONE compressor unit Inverter system (not the traditional on/off) per property with no more than 52 decibels of noise level emission in the technical specifications.

·       contact the Community Office to let us know the technical specifications of the units that you want to install (in the case that they are different than the ones that we are offering ) so the Community Board can authorize you to do so.

As every year, the refrigeration tower that provides cold air to the central air conditioning system will be closed before the 31^st of October, depending on the weather conditions, and it won’t be switched on again.

Tallante estimate that it will take one day to install the water tank and the air conditioning unit to one apartment.

Please be aware that prices don’t incorporate the 21% VAT.
