tell, sad to say, none of it good.
Meeting
I will shortly
announce the date of an informal meeting to discuss our situation, but in the
meantime:
Medical Services
Sadly the position
of our doctor Antonio here has become untenable. He is often kept waiting for payment by Fase 1 but Fase 2
have not paid him for nearly a year.
I am very sad and disappointed to learn of his decision but I understand
it perfectly and would do the same if I were him. He and Maribel have provided us with an impeccable service,
both convenient and reliable, and they will be missed by many.
His last day
will be 30th June 2012. Some of you might be
entitled to a free service from the Junta de Andalucia.
Main building energy costs
The air
conditioning, the refrigeration tower and the machine rooms in the Central
Building, are all energy hungry beasts, expensive to run and maintain. And now, like an old car, they are
becoming more trouble than they are worth. We are paying money we can’t afford, to run a system which
is not what we want. Every other
month we receive a gas bill for the main building which is over €20,000. If this is combined with the
electricity bill which Sol currently pay, then we are spending around a quarter
of a million Euros each year on these two utilities alone.
There is only
one solution: that which was discussed at the AGM, that owners in the Central Building should install their own
independent hot water heaters and air conditioning. We would then stop the gas. The second step will be to have individual electric meters
located in the corridors so that they can be read by the electricity
supplier. Of course there will be
a capital outlay but after that you will have lower bills and control over your
own expenditure and environment. Bliss.
Soon I will have
installation costs. Of course the
more people who take up the installation the more economical the supplier can
make the quotation.
Receivership
I have no
further news about the handing over of Sol Andalusi properties and commercial
businesses to the bank. There are
rumours that the deal from the bank is no longer on the table so for that reason we continue with our
legal actions. This week there has
been a claim against the community
Dismissals
Letters of
dismissal have been sent to Peter, the security guard and Maru, the cleaner.
They were both owed holiday which was given in lieu of notice.
I will update
you as soon as possible with any news, or at least a date for a meeting.

anunciaré la fecha de una reunión informal para comentar nuestra situación
actual, pero mientras tanto:
Servicios médicos
Lamentablemente
la posición del doctor Antonio se vuelto insostenible. A menudo se le han
retrasado los pagos de Fase I pero es que Fase II no le ha pagado desde hace
casi un año. Estoy triste y decepcionada por su decisión, pero la entiendo
completamente y yo haría lo mismo en su situación. Tanto él como Maribel nos
han prestado un servicio impecable, tanto conveniente como eficaz, y somos
muchos los que les echaremos de menos.
Su
último día será el 30 de Junio. Ricardo está actualmente investigando la posibilidad
de un servicio alternativo al sistema de botón rojo y parece ser que algunos de
vosotros podéis solicitar y recibir de forma gratuita un servicio similar a
través de la Junta de Andalucía.
Costes del
edificio principal
El
aire acondicionado, la torre de refrigeración y la sala de máquinas del
edificio central son como unas bestias que devoran todos nuestros recursos, son
carísimas de mantener en todos los sentidos. Ahora, como los coches viejos,
resulta que nos están dando más problemas que lo que nos aportan. Estamos pagando dinero que no tenemos para mantener un sistema que
no es el que queremos tampoco. Cada dos meses recibimos una factura de gas solo
del edificio central superior a 20.000€. Si a eso le sumamos la factura de luz
que actualmente paga Sol Andalusí, resulta que estamos pagando del orden de un
cuarto de millón de euros anuales sólo en estos dos conceptos.
Solo
hay una solución posible: lo que se planteó en la Junta, que los propietarios
del edificio central instalaran en sus viviendas su propio sistema de
climatización y su propio calentador. Así para empezar nos ahorraríamos la
factura de gas íntegra. El segundo paso sería el que se pudieran instalar
baterías de contadores individuales en los pasillos para que se hiciera así cargo
de la lectura la empresa suministradora de energía eléctrica. Naturalmente esto
supondría un fuerte desembolso inicial pero después implicaría el tener menos
coste y tener el control sobre lo que realmente cada individuo gasta. El éxtasis.
Pronto
me darán presupuestos para la instalación. Naturalmente cuanta más gente se
adhiera a llevar a cabo lo presupuestado, más barato nos lo pondrá el
suministrador.
Cambio de
titularidad
No
tengo ninguna noticia nueva sobre el tema del banco haciéndose cargo de las propiedades
y negocios de Sol Andalusí. Hay rumores de que no se ha llegado a ningún
acuerdo por lo que nosotros seguimos con nuestras acciones legales. Esta semana
ha habido una denuncia contra la Comunidad.
Despidos
Se
han entregado las cartas de despido tanto a Peter, de Seguridad, como a Maru,
la limpiadora. Ambos están ahora disfrutando de las vacaciones que les
correspondían hasta que cesen definitivamente.
Os
tendré informados en cuanto pueda, como mínimo con una fecha para la reunión.
